About Our teams

Founded in 2022, OKC Storm Soccer is dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and competitive environment for middle and high school athletes to develop their skills and love for the game.  We began with one high school team and later added a high school girls team.  We've since added middle school boys and girls, plus a high school boys Junior Varsity team. We are looking to add a HS Girls JV team this fall.  Storm soccer is growing!


We believe that soccer is more than just a game—it teaches valuable life lessons about teamwork, discipline, resilience, and leadership.  We believe it offers everyone involved opportunities to glorify God in all that they do.  Our organization is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are committed to the growth of every player-on and off the field.

From the welcome and opening prayer, to the dismissal and closing prayer, the Storm End-of Season Celebration Banquet overflowed with gratitude for investments of time, energy, expertise, and recognition of jobs well done. While a 14-4 season is an exciting achievement, Storm is about more than winning games. It’s about being a community that supports and encourages one other on and off the field—both athletes and their families. It’s about pointing those around us to Jesus by being good sportsmen and good fans. It’s about investing in young people to help them become men and women of integrity and character.

Every game was full of fun and camaraderie, and everyone was so supportive, making every game memorable. Favorite Storm memory: One of my favorite Storm memories was going to the Muskogee tourney (or any other cold game) and having to run around to try and warm up, while all of us laughed at how freezing it was outside. That tourney was extremely cold, but that brought all of us a little closer trying just to stay warm. STORM SENIOR SPOTLIGHT Player: Grayson Schlabach Number: 2 Position: Goalkeeper Favorite Bible verse: Romans 10:9-10 Favorite Soccer player: Iker Casillas Favorite Color: Green Favorite Storm game and why? My favorite game was against OCS my freshman year. I was super nervous in the first half and a senior named Landen Parker calmed me down, encouraged me, and complimented how I was playing. I felt supported by my new team. They gave me their trust without much experience playing with me, and we ended up winning that game in pens. Favorite Storm memory: My favorite Storm memory is juggling and playing futsal in my family’s shop building during the first Storm team dinner. Favorite Soccer memory: In general my favorite soccer memory is growing up watching my dad coach. I remember hanging out in the field and getting involved in drills with a high school team he coached when I was little.

Meet Coach Brian! Brian is the first-ever Storm Soccer coach, and he's still here, coaching the high school boys teams even though his son, Asher, has graduated and moved on up to playing college soccer. Thanks in large part to Brian (and his wife Heather) Storm Soccer has grown exponentially and now has five teams (middle school girls, middle school boys, high school girls, high school boys junior varsity and high school boys varsity), and five coaches. But Brian will always be the OG! We love you, Brian, and we're so thankful for you!

From our freshmen taking their first steps in the program to our seniors leaving their legacy, we are proud of every player who wore the jersey this season. ? We honored our freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors for their hard work, dedication, and growth both on and off the field. We also recognized a few moms who helped keep everything running behind the scenes and our coaches for the countless hours they invest in this program. STORM SENIOR SPOTLIGHT Player: Mary Wallenberg Number: 13 Position: Winger Favorite Bible verse: Matthew 7:7-8 Favorite Color: Green Favorite Storm game and why? I don’t have a favorite Storm Game. Every game was full of fun and camaraderie, and everyone was so supportive, making every game memorable. Favorite Storm memory: One of my favorite Storm memories was going to the Muskogee tourney (or any other cold game) and having to run around to try and warm up, while all of us laughed at how freezing it was outside. That tourney was extremely cold, but that brought all of us a little closer trying just to stay warm. Favorite Soccer memory: My favorite Soccer memory was playing for Edmond Soccer club and I cleared a ball about to go into the goal thus giving us a win 1-0. All my teammates cheered and my coach came up to me and told me “good job” after hitting me on the back, which made me double over in laughter and swell with pride.

I felt supported by my new team. They gave me their trust without much experience playing with me, and we ended up winning that game in pens.
